Schizophrenia is basically a mental problem that is marked by abnormal expressions and perceptions of the reality, which is characterized by unusual delusions, hallucinations, and even a problem is speech and thoughts. John Nash: He was a mathematician from America who had successfully worked in game theory, differential geometry etc. His first schizophrenia symptoms occurred during his college, and after a year the disease was diagnosed. However, in spite of this john did not give up hope and continued with his studies, ultimately emerging as a Noble Prize winner. He even has a movie based on himself, A Beautiful Mind’.

William Chester (Minor): He was a famous surgeon, also credited for making significant Oxford dictionary contributions. He even served in the Union Army for a few years. When he started showing Schizophrenia symptoms, his condition often got bad to the limit of requiring an admission to the Washington DC mental asylum. He even once shot a man under one of his psychotic episodes that made him believe. However he continued to contribute to the Oxford Dictionary, while his condition went from bad to worse and finally passed away soon after being diagnosed with the disease.                     

Tom Harrell: he is a famous trumpeter and a composer. He ventured into music at a very young age, and has a number of musical achievements up his sleeves. However, he is also known as one of the most prominent figures on the list of famous people who have schizophrenia. In fact he happens to be one of those famous people with paranoid schizophrenia who even suffered grave side effects of the medications, such as weight gain, muscle spasms, etc. however, in spite of all the complications, he remains a great and successful musician, who enchants the world with his amazing performances.

Eduard Einstein: son of Albert Einstein, he was extremely intelligent and good with music. He dreamt of becoming a psychoanalyst. However, as fate had it, he got diagnosed with schizophrenia, and had to be out under severe medical treatment for his state was grave. He ended up passing when he was 55, in a asylum. Owing to the fact that he was a well known figure, his disease brought about a lot of awareness to people all over the world.

 Some other famous people who had schizophrenia were Roger Kynard Erickson, Picasso, Lionel Aldridgem etc. apart from their disease, another thing that al these famous people with schizophrenia had in common was their strength and determination to fight the disease.
